Students of our master program in techno-art presented their graduate projects in August. Have a look of their wonderful works at 初次見面.
In this year’s program, I am happy to supervise two students’ works.
Get Me some Fire by Yi-Xuan Lee

Get Me some Fire is an interactive device simulating fire disaster for teaching disaster prevention. Through the images showing in background, users recognize the cause of the fire, which should suggest using the right extinguisher to puff the fire off. Different cubes representing diverse types of extinguishers with the information about limitation and application of the extinguisher type are provided as a practice object for learners to interact with the fire.
The Blinding Light by Yu-Zhen Chang
In this project, we critically redefine the property of light. Light is commonly considered to be the medium to see and understand things. However, this functional character of light is conditioned by its speed approaching zero – light shall be instant, direct, without process. What is, if this condition does not exist? What is, if every visible things is mediated by delayed and “processed” light? The author presented this critical thinking through her artwork.
Video demonstration will be soon available.
